Back To Square One?

I have been to Dove Employment & Training yesterday, which went very well. My interviewer has an idea of me going back into volunteering again,which we'll hear more about next week. But he has also suggested updating my computer skills, which is good.

Wedding dance blues

Currently I'm trying to get the video of Nick (my nephew) and Kirstine's wedding dance up on Youtube after being told it was up there. I keep getting links to Kirsty Young on 'Room 101' being interviewed by Nick Hancock!

The wedding ceremony went off okay, but I couldn't get any photoes of the couple as they went down the aisle. The reception was fine as far as it went, and Nick's speech was well received by his rugby chums to the right of me and my mum. It was a nice touch to include string quartet versions of tunes by Muse (Nick's son Dan's fave band) as the backing music.

We were too tired to see the actual dance, so I endured The Susan Boyle Story upstairs after.

Another star of the occasion was Laura's new baby, Mia. My mum was so smitten with her!

On the committee at last!

So, I am now on the committee at Leeds Combined Arts. As I write I am still nervous about funding, but at least I have my picture up on the website.

This week I am also anxious about my nephew's wedding tomorrow (May 29). It's the prospect of being in a crowded church and the reception that's getting to me.
